As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with engineering and programs lead to plan, execute, and deliver technical programs that advance privacy, safety and security strategic goals.
  • Develop a high-performing team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs), ensuring they are engaged, motivated, and aligned with business-critical initiatives, delivering measurable results and driving impactful outcomes.
  • Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs.
  • Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
  • Promote best practices and guide continuous improvement within your team and across safer products. Build, maintain and enhance business, operational, and management dashboards.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience working with machine learning and large language models or ML Operations (Ops).
  • Experience in relationship management and stakeholder management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Experience launching features to consumers through frontend software development or backend platform development.
  • Track record of collaborating with and influencing stakeholders across various functions and sites, especially in situations with little authority and considerable ambiguity.
