Description
localsearch is the leading marketing and advertising partner for Swiss SMEs. We make customers successful in the digital world. Our Marketing, Audience & Communication division is looking for a new team member for our two platforms local.ch and search.ch.
Are you ready to revolutionize the way Swiss SMEs are found digitally? You are a builder, not a consultant. While others are still discussing, you already have the first prototype live. With AI tools, you build in days what used to take weeks — and deliver results that inspire the team.
Responsibilities
- Collaboration with Product, Business and Innovation to identify the core problems behind each idea
- Rapid Prototyping of functional products with AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, v0 or similar)
- Integration of LLM-APIs and third-party services into functioning end-to-end flows — not just UI mockups
- Developing frontend interfaces (React/Next.js) that are good enough for user tests — not just for a demo
- Connecting prototypes to real backends — REST/GraphQL-APIs, Cloud Functions, databases — so that stakeholders see realistic behavior
- Driving fast feedback loops: iterating or discarding ideas within days
- Creating engineering handoff packages: annotated code, architecture decisions, edge cases, and a clear "This is the intention" briefing
- Translating in both directions: business stakeholders understand technical tradeoffs, engineering understands the business context
Qualifications
- AI-native: You use AI development tools daily — not occasionally. Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot or similar tools are your standard workflow
- Code competence: You write working code in JavaScript/TypeScript. You are familiar with React and Next.js
- LLM experience: Practical experience with LLM-APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic or similar) — Prompt Engineering, Chaining, Tool Use
- Shipping mentality: Idea to working prototype in under a week. You build while others are still talking.
- Cloud experience: Deployment on GCP, AWS or Vercel. REST/GraphQL integration is routine
- Communication: You write technical briefings that a Senior Engineer respects and explain to business stakeholders why something (doesn't) work
Nice to have:
- Experience with Rapid-Scaffolding-Tools (v0, Bolt, Lovable) in addition to classic React/Next.js development
- Knowledge of RAG architectures, Vector Databases or AI Agent Patterns
- Background in Product Management, UX or Design Thinking
- Experience in startup and enterprise environments
You are not:
- A Senior Software Engineer who owns and maintains production systems
- A Business Analyst who writes requirements documents instead of code
- Someone who considers documentation optional
- Someone who needs full requirements before writing a line of code
